Samsung qm65f rs232 commands8/4/2023 ![]() The rest of the TV's in the house have Bright Sign players on them also running art all day, with more fun programming to make all that work. We ended up having an Alexa good-night command turn the TV's full off at the end of the day since the client has a jones about never having big black squares on his walls. So expect some jinky programming since the client will probably not want the TV to go off when you turn off a room since that kills the art mode. We're not using the Art Mode off command at all, just kicking it back to HDMI on both TV's. ![]() The other TV works as expected with On/Off etc. Why wouldn't Samsung just have two separate buttons? Whatever. That does emulate the remote where a short power press turns on art mode and a long press turns the TV fully off. However this never worked and in doing some research and using the 'Samsung PPM63M7F' Crestron module I saw that the power on command was actually 'xAA\x11\xFE\x01\x01\x11. When I first read the RS-232 spec's I thought sending command '\xAA\x11\x01' would turn the display ON. ![]() That IR On command drives the TV straight to art mode, then we have to flip it to HDMI to watch TV. My first project is to control my Samsung 22' display model DB22D-T. The one that won't turn back on we ended up sticking a blinker on it just for power on, an annoying fix but it is working. It's possibly a setting in the TV, but once Covid-19 struck I never went back to the house and had to depend on the other guys still going on site for info and setup. ![]() One of them will not turn on after being turned off via 232. Art Mode Off - \x08\x22\x0B\x0B\x0E\x00\xB2 Now that being said, the two TV's on site act differently.
